Kelly Rowland’s 2008 EP shows the Destiny’s Child alum at a crossroads. She reworks her smash Eve collab “Like This” into a pop-house fantasia and juliennes “Comeback” into a heady banger. But she also spins off into new realms of R&B. “Broken” has a breezy feel, but Rowland’s delicate vocal turns the gentle instrumental into a source of comfort. The loose-limbed “Daylight” takes Rowland and Travis McCoy to a sweat-drenched party, and the wrenching “Love Again” showcases Rowland’s vocal might.
