"Strange Days" is the second studio album by the American rock band the Doors, released on September 25, 1967, by Elektra Records, eight months after the release of their self-titled debut album. Following the commercial success of their debut, the band began working on a mix of new and previously developed material in early 1967 for this follow-up. The album reached number three on the US Billboard 200 and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It includes two singles that entered the Top 30 of the Billboard Hot 100: "People Are Strange" and "Love .
