About
It was on their sophomore effort that Venezuela’s foremost party-minded quartet perfected their tropical dance-funk sound and found their voice. On the breakout hits “Ponerte en Cuatro” and “El Disco Anal,” frontman Julio Briceño sings of love and spiced-up sex with the irreverence and impeccable timing of a stand-up comedian, ably backed by his band. The slower jams, like the bossa nova-tinged “Las Lycras del Avila” and the slightly psychedelic “Otra Vez,” prove equally entertaining.
