About

Beyond Skin fuses traditional jazz and Indian influences with electronica and breakbeat culture to bewitching effect. Gathered by London-born multi-instrumentalist/producer Nitin Sawhney, an ensemble cast of guest vocalists helps to bring his visions to life: Brazilian singer Tina Grace turns "Letting Go" into a bittersweet trip-hop excursion, while "Nadia" is a drum 'n' bass missive conveyed in Hindi. But most haunting of all is the piano-based instrumental "Tides," which shimmers between emotions of heartbreak and hope.
