The House of Blue Light is the twelfth album by Deep Purple. It was recorded in 1986 and released in January 1987. It was the second album recorded by the classic Mark II line-up after its reunion in 1984. However, it failed to match the success of their previous release, Perfect Strangers. The album reached # 34 in the States. Two singles were released from The House Of Blue Light: "Call of the Wild" and "Bad Attitude". Both reached #14 on Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks. The album is generally criticised by the fans and the musicians themselves for lacking a .
