About
Extra Virgin was the first (1996) release for British electronic trio Olive. This defined Olive's style, spawning three singles, "You're Not Alone" (which was rereleased twice), "Outlaw", and "Miracle". The trip-hop influence of Massive Attack and Portishead, while in small quantities, are evident, mixed in with synth-based electronic dance. Overview Recording Synthesizers used on the album were a Roland Juno-60, a E-mu Systems Vintage Keys, and an Akai S3000XL sampler. Mixing was done on a Mackie mixing console. The band created some samples by recording live sounds, edited and subsequently filtered. Track listing All songs written by Tim Kellett and .
