About
Formed in 1993 by singer/guitarist Jennifer Olay, a onetime member of the love-rock band Some Velvet Sidewalk, the Seattle-based Violent Green debuted a year later with the single "You Make Me Wish I Had a Gun," the first release ever on the fledgling Up Records label. The full-length Eros soon followed, and in 1996 Violent Green issued their sophomore effort, From Cycles of Heat. Hangovers appeared in 1998. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide .
