Don't expect this record to answer its titular question: While SBTRKT's second full-length is a whirlwind tour of textures and moods, it never settles anywhere; that is its genius. Just look at the guest list: A$AP Ferg, Ezra Koenig, Jessie Ware, and others are sonically far-flung but united under these songs' searching grooves. SBTRKT's beats range from the sub-bass–drenched post-dubstep of the title track to the dark, gargled techno of "NEW DORP.NEW YORK" and the warped quiet storm of "Problem (Solved)." As cerebral and inventive as it is viscerally engaging, <i>Wonder</i> is a dark, dizzying thrill.
