Rarities is a compilation album performed by The Beatles and released by Parlophone in 1978. The purpose of Rarities was to give listeners an album with songs which were not easily accessible. The album was initially included in The Beatles Collection, a box set featuring The Beatles' twelve studio albums. It was issued as a standalone album in 1979. The album features the so-called 'wildlife' version of "Across The Universe," obscure B-sides (e.g, "I'll Get You"), songs from the Long Tall Sally EP, and the German versions of "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" ("Sie Liebt .
