About

With a knack for triumphant hooks, The Offspring brought SoCal skate rock to the masses in the '90s. Frontman Dexter Holland might have an illustrious academic career, but Greatest Hits proves he's also on great terms with his inner surly teenager. Buoyed by plenty of ascending "whoas," Holland sarcastically takes down moochers ("Why Don't You Get a Job"), cheaters ("Self Esteem"), and society ("The Kids Aren't Alright"), while guitarist Noodles' busy fretwork and the galloping rhythm section keep the dissertations moshable.
