As its title implies, this acoustic collaboration is ostensibly a children's album, but it ought to intrigue folk devotees and Garcia fans alike. These loving versions of kid-friendly tunes display the guitarist’s lifelong devotion to folk music, with Grisman's colorful mandolin lines enhancing the back-porch bounce of "Arkansas Traveller" as well as a pastoral medley of "Oh Shenandoah" and Brahms dubbed "A Shenandoah Lullaby." The last album Garcia released in his lifetime, <i>Not for Kids Only</i> sees him welcoming a new generation with open arms.
