Animal Collective member Panda Bear (a.k.a. Noah Lennox) again teams up with coproducer Pete Kember (a.k.a. Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom) for an "all-in" approach that deliberately overloads the sound while simultaneously offering up strong pop songs (“Boys Latin,” “Come to Your Senses”), endearing ballads (“Tropic of Cancer,” “Selfish Gene”), and sonic freakouts (“Sequential Circuits,” “Lonely Wanderer”). "Electron-i-fied" shades of The Beach Boys haunt the overall gestalt, while Lennox plays primarily with equipment that dates from the ’80s and onward.
