"Frontiers" is the eighth studio album by the American rock band Journey, released on February 1, 1983 by Columbia Records. It was the band's last album to feature bassist Ross Valory until "Trial by Fire" in 1996. The album reached number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced four top 40 singles: "After the Fall" (number 23), "Send Her My Love" (number 23), "Faithfully" (number 12), and "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (number 8), as well as the rock radio track "Chain Reaction". It was later certified six times platinum by the RIAA. In 2008, Classic Rock critic Paul Elliott .
