The cover art features the band members' faces superimposed on the figures from Titian's painting "Bacchus and Ariadne". Commercially, it is the band's most successful album, selling over eight million copies worldwide. The album was Crash Test Dummies' biggest mainstream success. AllMusic writer Stephen Thomas Erlewine attributed its popularity to "Jerry Harrison's remarkably clear and focused production" and noted that aside from the pop-oriented singles "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" and .
