Clapton's guitar sounds as fresh as ever on this 1985 LP, but the key ingredient may be the drums, which are clear and lively thanks to Phil Collins' crisp production. "She's Waiting" rides a slightly Caribbean lilt as Clapton advises a friend to treat their girlfriend with more respect. "See What Love Can Do" slows things down, with Clapton filling the cracks of the syncopated beat with his gritty voice and inspired guitar playing.
