About

After releasing four albums and building a devoted fanbase in their native Australia, The Church signed to Arista Records and took off to Los Angeles to record this set of glimmering, seductive guitar pop. Their breakthrough hit, “Under the Milky Way,” remains a classic of the ’80s psych revival, an ode to love’s mysteries that shimmers with acoustic guitars and oddly alluring bagpipes. Steve Kilbey’s moody voice melds perfectly with the crystalline guitars of “Lost,” while “Antenna” reaches for the cosmos through a stunning rock crescendo.
