About
Rod goes disco! At least, that was the headline when Stewart released this 1978 album. Lead track “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?” aims for the middle of the dance floor as he delivers sly lyrics with a wiggle of his hips over a percolating beat and shimmering strings. He plays to his old strengths too—“Blondes (Have More Fun)” is a boogie driven by choogling guitars and honky-tonk piano; “Ain’t Love a Bitch” adds to his stable of jangling folk-rock gems about love’s tribulations.
