Three decades after their first demo tape, New York’s industrial metal progenitors still march like half men, half machines. Their 11th full-length opens with “Ultimate Authority,” railing against political corruption in coagulated, staccato Killing Joke mode. “Sense of Ease” and “In Spite of Hindrances” are hop-scotching hardcore, the latter with a Stooges-like wah-wah solo; “Without Words” and the the call-and-response death dance “No Absolutes” open up into dub space. “Do Nothing” flirts with emo, and “Worth Pursuing” has old-time rock ‘n’ roll in its bones.
