This New York trio’s eighth album of melodic indie rock is downbeat in its outlook yet musically uplifting. Singer/guitarist Matthew Caws has grown into middle age gracefully, whether he’s rocking out on the short, sharp title track or reflecting on the passing of a relationship and the hope of another on the ringing minor chords of “Believe You’re Mine”.
