“Oh, I gotta keep my cool,” Laena Geronimo asserts on the revved-up “Play It Cool,” but thats just wishful thinking: <i>Feels</i> is a roller-coaster ride through disheveled garage punk jams and bummer ballads, all slathered in scraping fuzz and rattling reverb. “Unicorn” races out of the gates with riot grrrl rebelliousness. “Bird’s Eye” shows off the band’s guitar powers with mangled, lysergic surf licks. And the melancholy, seesawing “Today” takes the radical position that life is lame and sleep is the best thing going.
