He easily swings between good and bad times—“Hope for Us All” uses uplifting horns to buoy a song about passion’s healing power; “I Trained Her to Love Me” features a sprightly romantic feel masking a lyric about a game-player. And that’s Chrissie Hynde purring along with Lowe on “People Change,” a bouncy soul-pop track about falling out of love.
