Before there was crunk, there was Onyx. They operated like a battalion unit, dressed in black jumpsuits, army boots and bald heads, shouting about "a madface invasion." <i>Bacdafucup</i> went off like a mortar shell when it was originally released in the early '90s. 'Bow throwers like "Slam" and "Throw Ya Gunz," leave little question about their intentions. They take their aggression out on enemies ("Bichasbootleguz," "Nigga Bridges") and the female species ("Black Vagina Finda," "Stik-n-Muve"). Now that shouting has regained popularity with the likes of Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, T.I., and Bone Crusher, Onyx will long be remembered for merging and raising their voices until they cracked.
