Bangles is a Rock album by Bangles, originally released in 2006. On Gatefold: 9 pressings tracked.
About
This download-only album features the first digital release (never on CD!) of The Bangles’ 1982 five-song debut EP, their 1981 debut single (“Getting out of Hand”/“Call on Me,” issued as The Bangs), and demos and live tracks. Their cover of Love’s “7 and 7 Is” dates to early 1984. All tracks here are fully remastered, and they fill in a gap in the band’s history (and that of the Southern California Paisley Underground movement). Years before their hit with Prince’s “Manic Monday,” The Bangles were a heavily ‘60s-influenced quartet. Less polished but oh-so-youthful and energetic, this early collection (including original bassist Annette Zilinskas) is essential.
