About
This is the Bee Gees first major release. As an album, it tends toward the psychedelic pop of the era. Barry Gibb once said did we sound like the Beatles? I sure hope we did, we were trying to. However, there were some heavier themes going on here too, Listen to the songs "Holiday" and "Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You" and you can hear the beginnings of a more baroque, orchestra-driven direction that would mark some of their best music. And lest I forget, "To Love Somebody" is also on this album. That song has been and remains one of their most beloved.
