Berry Is on Top is the third studio album by rock and roll artist Chuck Berry, released in July 1959 on Chess Records, catalogue LP 1435. Like its predecessors, as well as subsequent Chess releases up until the mid-1960s, the album was compiled as a sort of 'best-of' record, since all tracks with the exception of one, "Blues for Hawaiians," had previously been released on 45 rpm singles. Similar to his previous two albums, Berry Is on Top did not perform as well in the charts as Berry's singles around the same time. The tracklist, however, finally rectified earlier omissions .
