Better Days is a Reggae album by The Heptones, originally released in 1978. On Gatefold: 12 pressings tracked.
About
The Heptones occupy two ends of the reggae spectrum simultaneously here, tackling crossover-ready pop covers alongside songs with deep Rastafarian themes. Infectious grooves and rich harmonies inhabit both a breezy, rootsy take on Elvis Presley's "Suspicious Minds" and a powerfully pulsing version of Tommy James’ "Crystal Blue Persuasion." Then they tap into the Rasta realm for the soulful supplication of "No Bread on My Table" and the beaming, beneficent "God Bless the Children." Whichever way they turn, those golden pipes can do no wrong.
