Bingo! is a Rock album by Steve Miller Band, originally released in 2010. On Gatefold: 10 pressings tracked.

About

In the late ‘60s, Steve Miller was a serious psychedelic bluesman. In the ‘70s, he turned into the FM radio hit machine that gave us “Take the Money and Run,” “Fly Like An Eagle,” “The Joker” and “Jet Airliner.” The ‘80s had more hits, but the synths started to drag Miller down and he’s laid low these past two decades. He re-emerges in 2010 with Bingo!, a collection of blues covers that shows where Miller’s real love resides. Vocalist Sonny Charles guests with a streetwise taunt for the Otis Redding and Carla Thomas classic “Tramp,” but Miller and his guitar take center stage for much of this bluesing around. B.B. King’s “Rock Me Baby” is given a serious workout and tracks such as “Come On (Let the Good Times Roll)” and “You Got Me Dizzy” create a pretty weird sensation, since Miller’s vocals still sound exactly like the man who once sang about “Jungle Love.” The bonus tracks on the special edition continue down the blues path with highlights like “Ain’t That Lovin’ You Baby” and “Further On Up the Road.”
