Down with the Young Money camp, Tyga has been building a strong buzz thanks to much-loved mixtapes like <i>No Introduction</i> and <i>#B*tchImTheSh*t</i>. On his boldly titled official debut album, he rounds up an all-star crew of collaborators and super-producers to assist in his power play for the throne. Despite several delays due to sampling issues, it's finally here, and Tyga carefully positions himself as rap music's next big thing. The bulky tracklist finds him proficient at triumphant trash-talking (the minimalist funk of "Rack City"), as well as romance and regret ("Love Game"). Thanks to strong beats (Boi-1da, Cool & Dre, Jess Jackson) and tons of VIP features (Nas, Weezy, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Pharrell, J. Cole), this is a strong effort certain to be embraced by hip-hop/pop fans around the world. "Let It Show" and "Faded" are highlights.
