About
Time stops when you hear this young Canadian’s disarmingly sparse gospel-soul songs. Even more stunning than the richness of her voice is the patience of her delivery. She’s not afraid to stand alone in unadorned space, an intense-but-reassuring presence that coaxes classic R&B into a zone of zero-gravity.
