Pete Adshead (Baby Ford) was sent by his manager Joe Chibley to Steve Thompson's Whitley Bay studio to collaborate. They co-wrote several songs including Beach Bump and this track. Usually by Pete sending Steve a set of suggested titles in the post to be worked up as a track, before getting together.
One such title was “Disco Me To Ecstasy”, which was changed to Chikki Chikki Ahh Ahh. The BBC still banned the single.
