Album notes

Discogs page for these notes (opens in a new tab)

Re-release of the Children Of God album and The World Of Skin compilation as a combined 2xCD. These albums were originally attributed to Swans and Skin respectively but are here largely branded as released by the former (although some versions of this compilation reissue are less ambiguous about the origin, none seem to make any specific allusions to Skin as an entity at all).
On this edition of Children Of God the song "Our Love Lies" was replaced by the acoustic version of the same, originally released on the CD version of the Love Will Tear Us Apart EP - and the track(s) "Damn You To Hell / I'll Swallow You" taken from the B-side of the New Mind 12" was added as bonus.
"The Man I Love", originally included on the 2xLP version of the The World Of Skin compilation but already dropped from the original CD release, is missing here as well. The lyrics of "Breathing Water" have also been slightly shortened compared to the original version.
