Sound DNA
- Soul & Funk
Sequel to "Greatest Hits Of Boney M. (opens in a new tab)", a 'truncated' Club Edition of "The Magic Of Boney M. (20 Golden Hits)". Includes the four tracks omitted from "Greatest Hits": "No Woman No Cry", "Oceans Of Fantasy", "Painter Man" and "Still I'm Sad". All tracks on Vol. 2 appear in full length, unlike on "Greatest Hits" and "Magic (opens in a new tab)" in general. Both volumes of "Greatest Hits" were released on LP and Cassette.
Included are "Dancing In The Streets" (non-album A-side in limited territories), and "Baby, Do You Wanna Bump" (1975 debut single), both omitted from "Magic". All four non-album tracks from the two 1980 singles released after "Magic" appear here: "Children Of Paradise", "Gadda-Da-Vida", "Felicidad" and "Strange". This compilation was the only long-form release during the group's active years that includes these tracks. The rest are album tracks, probably considered fan favourites: "Heart Of Gold", "Love For Sale", "A Woman Can Change A Man" and "Motherless Child".
Cover art looks ahead, as the photo was taken during the filming of the TV special for the group's next album "Boononoonoos".
