About
The Dead Weather's third album seethes with paranoia, its buzzsaw guitars and jittery synths inducing anxiety at every pick and punch. Raising the blood pressure further, Alison Mosshart emits a snarl that mutates into unhinged bellows as Jack White pounds out his hefty Bonham-like beats—"I'm a bad man," she growls on "Let Me Through." Guitarist/keyboardist Dean Fertita mirrors her feverish attacks with stoner rock riffs and twitchy electro effects, turning highlights like "Buzzkill(er)" and "Cop and Go" into warped, dystopic psych rock.
