This second helping from the same tour dares to improve upon the wheel, and shockingly succeeds; between the crackling energy of the rocking "Bertha," a near-death Pigpen getting some of his last licks in on the gritty "Next Time You See Me," and the freewheeling acid-rock exploration of a 30-minute "The Other One," this sequel is every bit as vital as Vol. 1.
