1) Freeman is the debut album by Finnish singer Leo Friman, known by his stage name Freeman. The album was released in November 1976. The biggest hits were "Ajetaan tandemilla" (Let's Ride a Tandem), "Kaksi lensi yli käenpesän" (Two Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and "Osuuskaupan Jane" (Jane from the Co-op). The album was produced and mainly written by Hector, who was Freeman's brother-in-law. Hector also signed Freeman to Love Record. "Ajetaan tandemilla" became one of Love Records' biggest single successes in 1976. The song began to receive heavy radio airplay during Midsummer 1976 and eventually became one of the biggest hits of the summer of 1976. According to Freeman, the song was written at his home in Hämeenlinna, accompanied by guitar and piano. The debut album, released in time for the Christmas market, propelled Freeman into the ranks of the most popular Finnish pop rock artist. Freeman had several international artists in mind to whom he could offer the songs he had composed. "Kaksi lensi yli käenpesän" was written for Elton John and "Ajetaan tandemilla" for the band Spark. .
