About

Giles Corey, the first solo project of Dan Barrett, was released on March 1st, 2011 to Bandcamp and was distributed to his record labels Enemies List and The Flenser on April 30th, 2011. Dan Barrett, the man behind this album, created Giles Corey due to his severe depression and suicidal thoughts suffocating him. Giles Corey, the first and only album under Dan's pseudonym Giles Corey, was named after a 1600s English Farmer who was crushed to death after being accused of witchcraft by the town of Salem. Dan chose this because it demonstrated the "immorality of execution", especially peine forte .
