Great Divide is a Rock album by Twin Atlantic, originally released in 2014. On Gatefold: 6 pressings tracked.
About
Ambitious guitar epics are Twin Atlantic's stock-in-trade on their second album, from the thundering assault of “Edit Me” to the fireworks of title-track “Free.” The noodly riff of “Dreamember” seems inspired by their homeland's bagpipe players, while the riffs of “Time for You to Stand Up” race in double time. They've a softer side, too: “Yes, I Was Drunk” is an earnest ballad, while McTrusty's Scottish accent springs to the fore of “Crash Land”. And just in case you need a breather, they loosen the pace with “Serious Underground Dance Vibes,” a gorgeous post-rock instrumental.
