Greatest Hits is a Soul & Funk album by UB40, originally released in 2008. On Gatefold: 3 pressings tracked.
About
Sometimes a new cover can set an old melody free, bringing it into the light. That's what the British reggae group UB40 did with "Red Red Wine" and "I Got You Babe," retrofitting these '60s pop standards with lilting ska beats and buoyant '80s synths. This Greatest Hits set includes those remakes and thumping originals like "One in Ten," a jittery protest that channels reggae's righteous energy into speaking out against unemployment in the UK.
