Nearly nine years after 2006’s <i>Relocated</i>, <i>Greyscale</i> sounds neither labored nor overdone. Heiko Maile’s production keeps the kinetic energy (“Shine,” “Ride”) and ear for a gorgeous melody (“Count On Me,” a duet with Wolfsheim's Peter Heppner) of the group’s finest work, seamlessly coordinating acoustic and electronic instruments and The Babelsberg Film Orchestra’s string ensemble.
