Four versions exist. The Japanese version with "Special Message for Japanese fans", and US version without special message. The 12" vinyl has a live version of "Hangar 18" as opposed to the AOR edit (which cuts out most of the guitar work at the end). The 7" has "The Conjuring" and another edited version of "Hangar 18" (The MJ12 edit). Altogether, there are four possible versions of "Hangar 18". All live tracks were recorded at Wembley Arena, London, England on October 14th, 1990. There are also two promotional versions of this single: UK Promo 12", which has three versions of "Hangar 18" (album version, MJ12 edit and live version at Wembley Stadium) and USA Promo Cd has LP version and AOR edit of the title track. .
