About

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Honky is an album by Melvin, which was released in 1997 through Amphetamine Reptile Record. It is widely considered to be the band's most experimental album. Their first studio album after being dropped from Atlantic, it contains a mixture of traditional Melvins-sounding rock, experiments with drones and soundscape, and some rather uncharacteristic electronic piece. A video was made for "Mombius Hibachi". "Lovely Butterfly" became a live favorite and is still played to this day. The final track, "In the Freaktose the Bugs are Dying", concludes with over 25 minutes of silence. Personnel * Buzz Osborne - Guitar, vocals * Dale Crover - drums * Mark Deutrom - Bass * Katherine Bjelland - Additional Vocals (on Track #1, "They All Must Be Slaughtered") * Mac Mann - Piano, Bells and Synthesizer * David Scott Stone - Bowed Cymbal and Oscillators .
