About
There’s no overstating the importance of this fun and rowdy EP to the evolution of rap metal. The title track offers an early mash-up of snarling power chords, stuttering beats, and rhymes soaked in locker-room humor. But their rumbling cover of ’70s headbanger “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” and grimy live version of “I Am the Law” are just as innovative: Both feature the thrashers experimenting with a slower, thicker chug, which would go on to help launch groove metal.
