Sound DNA

  • Pop

This album consists of re-recorded versions of Ink Spots songs done by former lead singer Bill Kenny backed by studio group done shortly before his death in 1978.
This album's version of "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" was prominently used in a 1982 perfume commercial for Chanel No. 5 (tagline: "Share the Fantasy") by famed director Ridley Scott. This led to a reissue of the album in France in 1983 whose cover art features the man, woman, and Transamerica Pyramid-type building which appeared in the commercial.
Also issued in 1980 under Exact Productions as The Best Of The Ink Spots, omitting "Whispering Grass" and "We Three".
