About
The 15th studio LP of Texas blues magicians ZZ Top is anthemic, sensual, and cutting—a formula that has always worked wonders for the band. Fuzzy guitars reign throughout these grimy tracks, like the irreverent, country-tinged “I Gotsta Get Paid” and the epically riff-leaden (and sexily humorous) “Chartreuse.” “Heartache In Blue” recalls the deep guitar and drum boogie of their most focused ‘70s jams. Indeed, La Futura finds these three Southern amigos rocking as hard as ever.
