About
Legions of the Dead is Tyrant's debut album, released in 1985 on Metal Blade Records. Metal Blade signed the band after the great reception of the song Armageddon (the name was changed to The Battle of Armageddon on the album) on the label's now infamous Metal Massacre compilation series. The album is thought by some to be the band's masterpiece, though most would argue the band's follow-up album, Too Late to Pray, to be their finest hour. The album was reissued in 1996 by Art of Music Records with two bonus tracks, Leavin' and Free For a While, and reissued again in 2006 by Old Metal Records.
