Ley Lines EP is an Electronic album by Emma-Jean Thackray, originally released in 2018. On Gatefold: 2 pressings tracked.
About
Following up her Walrus EP from 2016, UK trumpeter Emma-Jean Thackray puts her band on temporary hold and goes it alone, playing all instruments, mixing, and producing this concise and inspired set. It bears the imprint of electronic music, avant-garde jazz, and a host of other influences, with atmospheric keyboards, horns, and voices atop an infectious but somewhat abstract rhythmic bed. Most songs play out as short, intriguing episodes, though “Make Do,” “Red Bush,” and the title track stick around longer, offering more of a window into Thackray’s musical mind.
