Live At Lafayette's Music Room by Big Star

Live At Lafayette's Music Room is a Rock album by Big Star, originally released in 2018. On Gatefold: 3 pressings tracked.

About

This 1973 show marked a turning point for Big Star. After Chris Bell's exit, they were a power trio finding their way forward and preparing for their second album. This concert for a roomful of rock journalists helped spread the band's legend, and it's easy to hear why. With Alex Chilton handling the frontman/guitarist heavy lifting, the band bursts with joie de vivre on explosive power-pop milestones like "When My Baby's Beside Me," but still manages to maintain an affecting intimacy on heart-catching acoustic ballads like "Thirteen."
