About
The tuxedo and cowboy duds that George Strait sports on Livin’ It Up’s cover provide the perfect visual metaphor for this 1990 album. Strait's seamless combination of roots-conscious country and sophisticated crooning pervades the record, whether on the Texas dance-hall shuffle of "Someone Had to Teach You," the gentle, Western-swing two-step of "Heaven Must Be Wondering Where You Are," or the midtempo honky-tonker "She Loves Me (She Don't Love You)."
