A stripped-down, mostly acoustic take on the Hawkwind boogie of 2015’s <i>High Country</i>, <i>Low Country</i> proves that its source material was more than the sum of its fuzz pedals. The simpler arrangements lend the band’s sound a rustic edge, making songs like “Mist & Shadow” and “The Dreamthieves” not just companions to their originals, but their own, estimable beasts.
