About
The 2007 solo release from sharp frontwoman/gothic-rock icon Siouxsie Sioux of The Banshees and The Creatures has a surprisingly upbeat electro-glam pulse. The album casts Siouxsie as the ringleader of a cheeky dark cabaret, her witchy trill high-kicking over synthetic guitars and electronic distortion on "Into a Swan" and "About to Happen" and futuristic torch song "Heaven and Alchemy." Siouxsie's unique vocal swagger is the highlight, ranging from deep and raspy to kittenishly sexy to darkly sneering in the course of seconds.
